Here at Mount Saint Michael, we are committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all the children in our school community. We strongly believe that children should learn in an environment that is supportive, caring, positive and safe. Safeguarding is about ensuring that children are protected from all forms of harm, including bullying or ill-treatment.
Please see our school Child Safeguarding Risk Assessment below which outlines the procedures in place to safeguard the children in our school community from risk of harm.
This was ratified by the Board of Management in February 2022, in accordance with the requirements of the Children First Act 2015, Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017, the Addendum to Children First (2019), the Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools 2017 and Tusla Guidance on the preparation of Child Safeguarding Statements.
