This is a written statement that specifies the service being provided and the principles and procedures to be observed in order to ensure, as far as practicable, that a child availing of the service is safe from harm.
Here at Mount Saint Michael, we are committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all the children in our school community. We strongly believe that children should learn in an environment that is supportive, caring, positive and safe. Safeguarding is about ensuring that children are protected from all forms of harm, including bullying or ill-treatment.
Please see our school Child Safeguarding Statement below which outlines the procedures in place to safeguard the children in our school community from risk of harm.
This Child Safeguarding Statement was drafted by the Board of Management to meet criteria set out in Circular 81/2017 “Child Protection Procedures for Primary and PostPrimary Schools 2017” and in accordance to the guidelines included in the Children’s First Act 2015.
