Young Scientist 2018
The school was delighted to have 2 projects chosen for the BT Young Scientist competition held recently in the RDS. The projects were "A quantifiable analysis of radiation exposure of human gametes and its potential effect on reproduction" and "To investigate the accuracy of a Near ~Red Spectroscopy mobile machine on testing silage and compare it to traditional laboratory analysis". Well Done to Roisin O Sullivan, Aoife McSweeney, Kate Creedon and Joan O Donovan. The students put huge work into their projects and were delighted with the experience of representing their school at such a prestigious event.

Chantelle French Transition Year who was selected for the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2017 pictured with ocal TD Jim Daly & teacher Ms A. O' Neill. Her project was entitled the ‘Investigation into the effects of the reduction of earthworms in Irish soil due to the presence of New Zealand Flatworms and pesticides’ .
